It been nearly 52 years since Betty and Barney Hill broke onto the world stage with the report of their alien abduction in September 1961. Their story gained more attention with the publishing of their experience in the book “The Interrupted Journey” in 1966. The book went on to become a best-seller.
Then, their story was told before a nationwide TV audience in the made-for-TV film “The UFO Incident” with actor James Earl Jones playing the part of Barney Hill. Now, a film released this past spring, is proving to be the definitive documentary about the famous close encounters with aliens. Entitled, “Alien Abduction:
The Odyssey of Betty and Barney Hill”, the film goes further in telling the lives of the Hills than has been done before. In fact, the film covers the Hills long after the abduction incident and Barney Hill’s death in 1969. Betty Hill went on to become a UFO researcher or investigator. An account of her experience in that field is presented in the film.
Also, information relative to the abduction and the Hills’ therapy dealing with the post-traumatic stress is presented. One thing remains clear from the experience and that is that the story of Betty and Barney Hill remains relevant to this day.
