Whitney Houston’s Mother Urges Granddaughter to Delay Marriage Plans
Although Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, has announced her plans to marry fiancé Nick Gordon, Houston’s mother Cissy is strongly urging her granddaughter to delay her marriage plans.
In a letter that Cissy Houston addressed to Bobbi, who she calls her “Baby’s Baby”, she states that she believes that Bobbi is much too young to settle down and acknowledges that she understands that Bobbi’s life has been affected by sadness as well as loneliness since the unexpected passing of her mother. Although Nick Gordon was in fact raised by Whitney Houston while he was still a teenager, Cissy Houston admits that she wonders in her role as grandmother, whether or not Gordon is worthy of marrying Bobbi.
Bobbi Brown has not taken kindly to Grandma Cissy’s opinion or interference in her relationship with Nick Gordon and takes a dim view of Cissy’s recently released book about her famous daughter called “Remembering Whitney.” Brown has taken to Twitter to criticize Cissy’s decision to write about family secrets in her book and calls Cissy’s memoir disrespectful to both Whitney and her daughter Bobbi. Bobbi admits that she has not read the book nor has any plans to do so.
