Helen Ann Williams, 44, was charged with domestic violence for stabbing her husband with a ceramic squirrel

Ceramic Squirrel Stabbing Lands Wife in Jail for Christmas

This is forty…and angry. Authorities in South Carolina have arrested a 44-year old woman for criminal domestic violence. Helen Williams is accused of beating and stabbing her common-law husband with a ceramic squirrel. The Christmas Eve assault allegedly occurred because Helen was angry that the husband failed to return home with beer.

The common-law husband, who remains unnamed, made a beer-run to several grocery stores on Christmas Eve only to find none open. After returning home with no beer, the husband was attacked by an outraged Helen Williams with a ceramic squirrel. He reports being beaten over the head with several blows and stabbed in the shoulder and chest. He was able to retreat to a neighbor’s house to dial 911.

South Carolina authorities confirm the husband’s claims in a report. Officers state they found him covered in blood with cuts on his shoulder and face, according to the report. Williams initially denied attacking her husband when first questioned by the officers. She explained he got his injuries by falling. She was not able to explain how she had blood stains on her hands and clothes.

She was arrested and taken to the Charleston County Jail on a 10,000 cash bond. Williams’ husband was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening-injuries.
