Georgia Bride in Fatal Crash On Wedding Day
When a Georgia couple recently exchanged vows, they never realized that their happiness as newlyweds would only last a few short hours. 25-year old Kali Dobson suffered fatal injuries when the car which her new spouse, 27-year old Ryan Quinton, was driving away from their wedding reception, was involved in an accident in Ball Ground.
Unfortunately, Dobson was not wearing a seat belt as a passenger in the car and emergency crews found her trapped, still in her wedding dress, under the vehicle.
According to eyewitnesses, Quinton swerved his Pontiac Firebird suddenly to avoid hitting a dog that had run into the road. Local police officials say that they took a blood alcohol test and are doing further investigation as to the cause of the accident, but gave no indication that any legal charges will be filed against the groom.
A friend of the bride expressed her grief that Dobson had just told her earlier in the day that her wedding day was turning out to be the happiest day she had ever known. The crash scene did not involve any other vehicles and was located only a few minutes away from the scene of the couple’s wedding reception.
