Local Reporter Covering LA Wild Fire Gets Hit on by Shirtless Bystander
Los Angeles, California – Courtney Friel, age 34, is an attractive blond haired blue-eyed woman. There’s no question about that. So when the reporter was on the scene of the Los Angeles wildfire asking the locals for their take, it shouldn’t be too surprising that some may have been taken back by her stunning beauty. Such was the case for a shirtless man toting his dog. When asked by Friel if he was forced to vacate his home due to the fire, he replied that she was “super pretty” at which time he asked her out.
In short, he hit on her. Now, a couple of generations ago, his comment would have been considered fresh and would have garnered him a slap in the face. That said, a couple of generations ago Friel wouldn’t have been covering the news story as it was predominantly a male profession.
For her part, Friel remained professional and gently chastised the man by reminding him that the cameras were rolling on they were on the air. He eventually responded to her questions about the fire and explained that he was there to ogle the ongoing wildfire. He himself did not have to vacate his residence.
The man in question was clearly charmed by her beauty and did not realize she wore a wedding band. Friel is happily married and is the mother of two children. She did opine briefly on where he would have taken her on a date.

Given that he was a bit of a Neanderthal, the venue would likely have been big on booze and short on the ambiance. Currently, 800 firefighters are trying to contain the wild fire. The video of the date request has gone viral with over half a million views within a 24 hour period.
