Kayla bald eagle
A man has been arrested on suspicion of trying to punch Kayla, Crystal Palace’s bald eagle mascot.
According tor eports, the incident allegedly occurred before Palace’s 4-1 victory over Charlton in the Capital One Cup on the 23 September, according to the Croydon Advertiser.
A 34-year-old man from Welling has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and attempted criminal damage and remains in police custody in south London.
Kayla has been appearing at Selhurst Park since 2010 and has emerged as a fans’ favourite, with supporters earlier this year raising £8,000 to keep open Eagle Heights Wildlife Foundation, which looks after Kayla.
