Brooke Hogan Follows Father’s Footsteps in Wrestling Business
Brooke Hogan has signed a deal with the Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling family, following the same career as her father, Hulk Hogan.
Hogan will not be competing herself but will be developing the talent of female wrestlers through character training, promotions and consulting on music choices.
TNA’s Jeremy Borash interviewed Kurt Angle for TNA’s Youtube channel. During the interview, Angle was asked what he though about Hogan joining the team.
“[Laughs.] I think it’s great for wrestling. Brooke is probably one of the most, well-know, reality TV stars out there. She can only add credibility for TNA.
“It was funny, because when she was shooting some SpikeTV I.D.s, she said, ‘Dad, wait. Stay here and watch me rip my shirt off.’ [Laughs.] So, hey, all the fans out there might get the chance to see Brooke rip here shirt off except without the bra. [Laughs.] … Ratings go up!'”
Hogan gained her fame through her father who began his career as a professional wrestler before starring in the VH1 reality TV series “Hogan Knows Best,” with Brooke and the rest of their family, in 2005. After the show was canceled, Brooke Hogan began her own show “Brooke Knows Best” that focused around her music career.
Even with her new wrestling career, Hogan hopes to continue with her singing and music writing.
