Irish twins John and Edward Grimes or Jedward as they are known to fans will not compete in Eurovision again following their 19th place finish in this year’s competition.

The duo performed the song “Waterline” and scored 46 points for the performance.

The duo is wildly popular in Ireland where both of their albums have been certified double platinum.

They are known for their very blond quiffs or, as folks in the heartland of the USA would call them, cow-licks.

However, two years of representing Ireland in the show is enough for the lads and they say they will definitely not defend Ireland in subsequent competitions.

That is unless they are beckoned by the President of Ireland himself. Edward Grimes said, “If the President rings us up and says, ‘John and Edward, we need you. Seriously we need you guys’. Then we’ll think about it.” Short of that, the boys are out.
