Matthew Fox, 45, may very well be ordered to complete an alcohol abuse treatment in order to avoid jail time for his recent Oregon DUI case.
The star of the hit TV series, Lost, was pulled over in the early morning hours on May 4, 2012 on his way to pick up fast food. He was charged with two misdemeanors for driving without a license and driving under the influence of intoxicants in Bend, Oregon.
Although Fox was not required to appear before Circuit Judge Roger de Hoog, his attorney pleaded a no contest plea on his behalf.
Fox has been banned from driving and drinking any alcohol for one year and must report to an substance abuse evaluator for alcohol abuse and complete any treatment program the official provides. If he successfully completes the court diversion program within a year, the DUI charge may be dismissed and Fox will avoid life behind bars.
