Lady Gaga’s Indonesia Show Cancelled
Lady Gaga had to cancel her June 3rd show in Jakarta, Indonesia because of threats of violence.
A group that calls themselves the Islamic Defenders Front have been protesting the singer, saying that she is a messenger of the devil.
While all of the 52,000 tickets for the show have already been sold, the protesters have already stated that many of their members have purchased tickets in order to stop the show from within the venue.
Because of all of these threats, Lady Gaga’s personnel have decided to cancel the show. This is not only to safeguard Lady Gaga herself, but also to protect anyone else who may be attending the concert and around these protestors.
“With threats if the concert goes ahead, Lady Gaga’s side is calling off the concert,” Minola Sebayang, a lawyer for the concert promoter Big Daddy, said on Sunday. “This is not only about Lady Gaga’s security, but extends to those who will be watching her.”
It has been stated that anyone who purchased a ticket will receive a refund in full because the show is not going to be happening any time soon while this group is around.
