Yesterday, a picture of a very naked Kim Kardashian look-alike chowing down on on fruit from a room service trolley in a fancy hotel room, got the the whole interwebs a buzz.
The photo was allegedly shared by her boyfriend, Kanye West, on his Twitter account before being quickly taken down, sparking rumors it was an accident and had caused friction between the newly enamored couple.
Well, truth be told, it wasn’t even Kim in the photo.
The two high-profile stars were just the latest in the long line of celebrities to fall victim to hoaxes via twitter.
TMZ reports, the picture is actually of porn star Amia Miley.
The pic wasnoriginally tweeted back in 2011
She was just as dazed as everyone else when the photo showed up online again – as Kim.
“Apparently a naked photo of me eating is going viral…as Kim Kardashian…I’m confused,” she tweeted. “im not going 2 argue about whether that pic is me or not.. want proof? look at the back dimple piercings. kim k doesn’t have those.”
A spokesman for West also claimed he had nothing to do with the photo, saying he wasn’t even on Twitter the day the photo was posted.
“In regards to this ‘story’ that Kanye posted and then took down intimate pictures on his Twitter account: TOTALLY FALSE. Laughably so. This phantom tweet never occurred on his account,” his representative told Us Weekly. “This is obviously the desperate, sad act of someone seeking to gain media exposure by exploiting Kanye’s notoriety. Kanye doesn’t even know this person, has never seen this picture, and hasn’t been on his Twitter account for a day.”
After first reporting that West was behind the stunt, TMZ later clarified that it was “part of #WanksterWednesday, A prank day where people try to get bogus rumors started.”
