Daytime Emmy Winners

The 39th Annual Daytime Emmy’s were held yesterday in Beverly Hills.

“Daytime” is classified as 2 a.m. until 6 p.m., so there was plenty of programing to choose from.

Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa won for best talk show hosts, Jeopardy won best game show for the 29th time.

NBC’s “Today” show won as best morning show and the syndicated “Jeopardy!” was named best game show at the annual ceremony Saturday.

The syndicated “Dr. Oz” was named best informative talk show.

In the acting category, Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series went to Anthony Geary for his work on General Hospital. Heather Tom took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress.

This year was bittersweet, with the retirement of Regis Philbin, who was mentioned by several of the year’s winners.

General Hospital – 5 Emmy awards, including Best Drama

Live With Regis and Kelly – Best Entertainment Talk Show
