Trey Songz and David Hester file lawsuits against each other

Hip Hop star Trey Songz and David Hester of ‘Storage Wars’ fame filed lawsuits against each other recently.

It seems as though both parties feel that they are solely entitled to use the phrase ‘yup’ for trademark purposes and mechandising. Hester claims that he is being swindled by Songz and decided to sue. Songz responded to the lawsuit by filing one of his own.

The two want to sell clothing and other products using the phrase. Each star states that they own the rights.

According to TMZ, papers filed on April 2, claim Songz had the right to use the trademark since back in 2009. while Hester only filed his trademark in 2011.

Thankfully, they must have finally come to their senses. The lawsuits were dismissed as fast as they were filed.
