Mel Gibson Legal Woes
Once again, Mel Gibson is in hot water.
The stars stepmother, Teddy Joye Hicks Gibson, has filed a restraining order. In the legal documents, Teddy claims that Mel has done everything from spitting in her face to sabotaging her marriage.
In one such alleged incident, Hicks did not approve of “experimental Ozone treatments” Hutton was undergoing. She said that when she expressed her concerns, “Mel began yelling and saying, ‘f*** this and f*** that’ while leveling other extremely offensive language” at her. Hicks added that she was told “not to f*** with Hutton’s treatments in any way.”
Teddy, who married Mel’s dad in 2001, believes that Mel does not approve of medical choices she is making for his father. The problems began in 2011 when Mel allegedly got into a screaming match with Teddy.
“Mel, his sister Maura, and Joye disagreed on Hutton’s medical care,” her attorney said in the suit. “And Mel made it clear that Joye’s views on anything were not welcome and only caused him to be irritated and were ignored.”
In March of this year, Teddy refused to eat some of Mel’s cooking due to a stomach ache.
At this point, Mel threatened to throw her out of his home. A hearing has been set for next month.
She is asking that Gibson stay 100 yards away from her and that he “not block or interfere with my attempts to communicate with my husband, Hutton Gibson.”
