According to reports, Ex-NFLer Warren Sapp is auctioning off his rare collection of Air Jordons.
Under the pressure of bankruptcy Sapp’s entire collection is up for sale according to TMZ.
The collection consists of a total of 240 pairs of Jordans,some worn, some untouched. The entire collection is worth over $6500, reports TMZ.
Sapp filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy earlier this year.
The 39-year-old former footballer claims he racked up millions of dollars in debts since he retired from the NFL. We can only conclude that Warren’s expensive shoe habit probably didn’t help the situation.
According to TMZ, Sapp owes more than $6.7 million to various creditors.
Air Jordans were first released onto the sneaker market in 1985 and Michael Jordan himself first wore them as a rookie in 1984. Originals from the 1980’s fetch up to $600 a pair.
