Connor Cruise lands role in “Red Dawn”

Tom Cruise and his ex-wife Nicole Kidman are no longer the only actors in their family.

Connor Cruise, the son Tom and Nicole adopted together after they exchanged wedding vows in 1990, has landed a starring role in the upcoming film “Red Dawn.”

The movie is a remake of the 1984 film of the same name, which was about a group of teens who get together to defend themselves and the survivors in their town following World War III.

Cruise is joining the likes of Chris Hemsworth, who starred in “The Avengers,” and Josh Hutcherson, a star of “The Hunger Games,” in the film, which will mark is big screen acting debut.

The film is directed by Dan Bradley, and stars Cruise as a member of the group of teens named Daryl.

The director said Connor loved the action in the movie, which is due to hit screens in November.
