Christy Turlington & Her Daughter Appear in DuJour Magazine
It seems that Christy Turlington’s daughter, Grace, is ready to follow in her mothers footsteps in modelling this past week, as DuJour magazine released their new issue, within which were several photos of Turlington posing with her 8 year old daughter Grace, and promoting her latest cause.
The September issue of DuJour features her and her daughter horseback riding.
“I started to take it back into my life once I was spending all my time at the barn with Grace,” the model, 43, says of her daughter, whom she describes as “8 going on 14.”
Turlington has promoted many causes over the years since she retired from modelling in 1994, perhaps the most memorable being her anti-smoking campaign, “Smoking is Ugly”.
Turlington’s current cause, however, is related to Grace, as she experienced a condition called postpartum hemorrhaging after giving birth to her eight years ago, and her group, “Every Mother Counts”, is hoping to eliminating any pregnancy related deaths that could have been prevented.
Turlington also talks about her daughter at length, and her interests, which include horse-riding, which holds a history for Turlington herself, as she was first discovered while riding a pony at age 13.
