Harry Potter’s Emma Watson Grown Up and Dating
Emma Watson was only nine years old when she was tapped to play Hermione Granger in the now wildly popular series of Harry Potter films.
The English-born actress and model is now 22 and has since fallen hard for Johnny Simmon, the co-star of her “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” movie filmed in Pennsylvania, reports HollywoodLife.Com.
Insiders have said that Watson takes every opportunity to be with the 24 year old fellow actor and considers him to be down to earth as well as a regular guy.
Watson tells the October issue of Glamour magazine that she’s had plenty of trouble dating because guys tend to think she’s always got a boyfriend thanks to being spotted and photographed with guy friends all the time.
“My friend got me tickets [to the Coachella music festival] for my birthday, and what am I going to say? ‘No, I’m not going to go, because I don’t want to be photographed?'” she says. “But it was a huge crowd, and I thought there was no way anyone could get pictures of me, but somehow they found me.”
Watson also says in tje interviews that she would prefer to date someone not involved in the entertainment business because then the relationship becomes fodder for the press rather than something real.
“I try not to (date other stars),” she says. “It definitely makes me nervous. I haven’t tried to make others celebrity friends or date people who are in my industry, because it’s difficult and it can be really superficial. I’m lucky that most of the people I’ve dated I’ve been at university with.”
Walson has also claimed that she would never move to Los Angeles, but since Simmon is based there, she may well make the move soon to LA.
