Legendary Singer Andy Williams dies at 84
The family of legendary singer Andy Williams reported that he died on Tuesday night after long struggle against bladder cancer. Williams was born in December 1927 in Iowa, reports CNN.
He began singing with his brothers in a church choir and they made their professional debut when Andy was just eight years old.
Andy started as a solo act in the 1950’s. Williams’ signature song is “Moon River”, an Oscar winning song. Williams was a household name with a variety show on NBC and several other special shows. Debbie, his wife, survives him, along with three children, Robert, Noelle and Christian from his first marriage to Claudine Longet.
He is survived by Meyer and three children from his first marriage, Robert, Noelle and Christian.
