Lost star Matthew Fox has denied claims he is a violent abuser of women in an interview for upcoming movie Alex Cross.
The actor denied ther claims in an interview with Mens Fitness magazine to promote new movie Alex Cross.
Fox was responding to a lawsuit filed by Heather Borman, a Cleveland, Ohio charter bus driver who claimed she had been assaulted by Fox. The bus driver claimed Fox had repeatedly punched her body after she refused him entry to the party charter ride because he was drunk.
Fox denied the claim, which was later dropped by Borman when her lawyers claimed she had not remained consistent in her evidence. The actor also dropped a counter claim against Borman in June 2012.
“In the 46 years I’ve been breathing on this planet, I have never hit a woman before. Never have, never will,” he told the magazine, as People reports. “Out of all the negative s—, the only thing that’s true is that I was arrested for a DUI.”
The scandal was amplified in the press when Fox’s former Lost co-star Domonic Monaghan refused a fan request to invite Fox to join social media website Twitter. “He beats women. No thanks!” was Monaghan’s terse response to the request. Later Twitter exchanges hinted at the fact Managhan and Fox were not as close friends as the media surrounding Lost led the public to believe.
Discusssing playing the bad guy murderer in Alex Cross Fox claimed he was only acting as the worst thing he had ever done was his 2012 DUI arrest.
