Facing falling ratings and a lack of interest in contestants from the public the X Factor talent show faces a new problem in the shape of judge Nicole Scherzinger threatening to leave the show. After seeing two of the acts she mentors reach the 2012 final of the singing competition the former Pussycat Doll has threatened to leave the show before the start of a 2013 season.
According to the Sun, Scherzinger claims the show has ignited her passion for music that will see a new album and tour, which is planned for 2013.
She said: “I’m really glad I did the show. I don’t know if I’ll come back next year. End on a high, right?”
The former Pussycat Dolls singer was given the job of a judge on the ITV1 show ater Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland left the show after appearing as a judge for the previous season.
During the interview Scherzinger gave her thanks to the British public for their support in her role that saw her become one of the most popular judges on the show beside Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostaulos.
Nicole, who has a new album in the pipeline, is keen to go back on tour.
She said: “This year has changed my life. As an artist, it’s put into perspective what I want, how to go about it.
“People have made me so comfortable and I have to thank you.”
