Kelly Osbourne, daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, has dropped fifty pounds to become quite the petite lady at age 26.
Osbourne revealed that she gained the weight largely in response to the media’s criticism of her for being fat.
The criticism led to her drug addiction which addiction she subsequently substituted for comfort eating.
However, the combination of her run on the hit show “Dancing with the Stars” helped her drop 20 lbs. Her mother then suggested she take up a personal trainer.
However, Osbourne reveals that it was the combination healthy eating with the exercise that made the weight come off. Specifically, she ate high protein low carb food to get her energy.
In an interview with Life & Style, Osbourne said she was proud to have lost the weight through a responsible diet rather than by less healthy means.
“Ultimately, I’m really glad I lost the weight the way I did,” she explained. “I never thought in a million years I’d be that healthy girl who wakes up every morning to exercise.”
She also motivated herself to go to the gym by improving her overall dress appearance because she found that if she looked better to herself, she could find the motivation to hit the gym on a regular basis.
“I have one cheat day a week and I eat whatever I want,” she told Life & Style at W Hotels of New York presents the W Love Hangover Ball in support of amfAR on Nov. 28.
