Roseanne Plans Return to Prime-Time
Semi-retirement in Hawaii growing macademia nuts has grown boring for comedian Roseanne Barr, said to be currently developing a new prime-time comedy series for NBC-TV in which she would have the starring role. Her partner in the project is the same producer who helped to launch her reality television show in 2011 called “Roseanne’s Nuts” about her life in the Hawaiian Islands.
Barr had hoped to reunite with her former TV husband and co-star John Goodman in a new series which she developed about operating a mobile home division but NBC took a pass on optioning that idea. The subject matter of her new series has not been divulged.
The highly-successful show about blue collar workers called “Roseanne” which ran for 9 seasons and consistently won high ratings from 1988 to 1997 is the last time that Barr has enjoyed a prime-time mega hit. She also plans to appear in three upcoming episodes of “The Office” portraying a talent agent.
