Taylor Swift’s Fan Mail in Dumpster

Country music superstar Taylor Swift and her management team were said to be shocked by the discovery of a large amount of the singer’s fan mail in a dumpster behind a Nashville, Tennessee elementary school.

The 23-year-old singer’s management team quickly dispatched a messenger when the fan mail was handed in to Nashville TV station WKRN by a local woman who found hundreds of the letters.

According to the Daily Mail, Kylee Francescan claims she found hundreds of letters addressed to Swift whilst out walking and decided Swift should be made aware of the problem.

Swift’s management team explained fan letters are collected from a P.O. Box outside Nashville and read before being sent for recycling; the Red singer’s representatives believe the unopened letters found there way into a batch being sent for recycling, but do not know why they were in the dumpster.

Following the discovery Swift’s representatives stated the letters would this time be dealt with in the correct manner.

“Taylor gets thousands of fan letters every day and they are delivered to her management office. After the letters are opened and read, they are recycled,” Swift’s spokesperson Paula Erickson explained.

“The only explanation for any letters being unopened would be that a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center,” Erickson continued.
