It has been 13 years since Cory Matthews put a ring on it and propose to his girlfriend Topanga on the classic teenage situation comedy, “Boy Meets World.” The show ran for seven years as a part of ABC’s TGIF line-up and was wildly popular amongst pre-teens of the time.
A generation of young television fans watched Cory, Topanga, and their friends grow from awkward sixth graders to a happily married college couple during the run of the show. Like the fans that enjoyed the show, Cory and Topanga are now all grown up and have a child of their own. The series spin-off can be seen this year on The Disney Channel’s new series “Girl Meets World”, which will feature Cory and Topanga’s 13 year old daughter.
Fans of the original show got a sneak peak at the wedding bands that Cory and Topanga will sport on the new show. Danielle Fishel who stars as Topanga posted a photo on Twitter that displayed the couple’s wedding rings.
Along with Fishel, Ben Savage will also be reprising his role as Cory and it was recently announced that William Daniels has also agreed to appear as Mr. Feeney. Child star Rowan Blanchard has been cast as Riley Matthews, Cory and Topanga’s daughter.
