Tina Turner Weds German Music Exec

Legendary rock and roll star Tina Turner has finally made it official with longtime beau, German music executive Erwin Bach when the pair recently married in a civil ceremony in Switzerland.

Turner and Bach have been business as well as personal partners for three decades. According to local news media reports, the couple plans on having family and friends attend a Buddhist wedding ceremony at their home sometime over the weekend. Turner took the necessary steps to become a Swiss citizen earlier this year and she and Bach have already called Switzerland their home for the past two decades.

Turner, who at 73 still retains the energy and enthusiasm of a performer half her age, first burst on the music scene as the protégé of her then spouse, musician Ike Turner.

Their relationship with a stormy one that quickly deteriorated the more famous Tina Turner became and there were accusations that Ike Turner physically and emotionally abused his wife.

Their divorce was finalized in 1978 and Tina Turner has been a single woman ever since. Although the duo was inducted in 1991 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Tina Turner refused to attend and Ike Turner was in prison. He died in 2007.
