Lea Michele Breaks Silence over Cory Monteith’s Death

“Glee” actress Lea Michele has spoken for the first time about boyfriend Cory Monteith’s unexpected death with a brief posting on the Instagram social media site. Michele posted a photograph of herself and Monteith in happier times, hugging and smiling broadly for the camera, looking very happy and very much in love. She also made a very short statement, her first and only one since Monteith was discovered dead in a Vancouver, Canada hotel room in mid-July of a heroin overdose.

In her message, Michele, who reportedly was either already engaged to the 31-year old “Glee” co-star or seriously talking about making wedding plans, expressed her appreciation to all of the fans who sent messages of love and support which she acknowledged have helped her greatly during the most trying time of her young life. Michele said that the volume of support and loving feelings she received since Monteith’s death has been “enormous” and that she plans on carrying her love for him in her heart for always. Producers of the hit musical television series also made a recent statement revealing that the cast of “Glee” joined together in late July in order to have a private memorial noting Monteith’s passing.
