Many people are disappointed with the new Cameron Diaz movie, The Councilor. It is funny how Rihanna was blamed for this movie doing so badly, and she wasn’t even in it. Cameron Diaz was said to have used Rihanna as a study for her character, and especially the accent. The accent was so distracting that it was hard to focus on the content of the movie its self. This made it difficult for viewers to not get annoyed with the character, and the whole movie in general.

Cameron’s original accent was even worse than the final voice that you hear in the movie. Executives claimed that her voice sounded much too close to Rihanna’s, and they had her go over and re dub her audio. This new recording of audio was apparently still just as bad. Viewers are still sickened with the voice they are hearing during the movie, and they are still stating that the voice sounds far too much like Rihanna’s voice.

Many who have seen this movie have claimed that Cameron Diaz is the reason the film did so poorly. She is surely the weakest link in this film production flop. It opened to only $3.2 million last month. A bit surprising, of course, seeing how the Ridley Scott-directed thriller featured an all-star cast that included not only Diaz, but Michael Fassbender, Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt as well.
