Kate Bosworth and Michael Polish became engaged in August 2012 and one year later, on August 31st, they wedded at The Ranch At Rock Creek in Philipsburg, Montana. A beautiful ceremony took place where Kate looked gorgeous in an Oscar de la Renta, strapless ivory radzimir-satin ball gown. A flowing and sweeping cathedral eight-foot-long, 16 foot wide train followed.
Having met with Oscar de la Renta in his New York studio in August, Ms. Bosworth expressed her desire for a minimalistic, clean line look for her wedding gown, without any embellishments. Kate did not have any reservations on who would design her gown, it was always going to be Oscar de la Renta, because she feels that he is the consummate designer. With tears in her eyes, she expressed that this wedding dress reflected the love she has for her partner. Further, it reflected her life and her womanhood in a poetic and elegant way.
On their nuptial day, Ms. Bosworth arrived at a wedding bluff, overlooking the Ranch, in a horse drawn stagecoach, where the couple exchanged their personal vows. The 30 year old beautiful model and acclaimed actress and the popular 42 year old film director, tied the knot in front of a small gathering of about 70 members of their family and friends. Michael’s 15 year old daughter, Jasper, was in the wedding party. Kate chose to pin her hair back in a bun with a jeweled styled headband, diamond ear studs, and Jimmy Choo Lotus slingback sandals with glimmering straps. The groom wore a Brooks Brothers, three piece charcoal suit.
