Jen Arnold, the star of TLC’s hit show “The Little Couple,” is beginning her brave fight with cancer while sharing her journey with her fans. Recently featured on the cover of the Dec. 23 issue of People Magazine, Arnold revealed that she had recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 choriocarcinoma, a rare cancer occurs only in women who have been pregnant.
Her illness was detected last month while she and her husband, Bill, were in India to pick up their daughter Zoe, who they adopted from an orphanage. During their trip, she began bleeding uncontrollably. After departing early due to her condition, she was treated at the Texas Children’s hospital, where she is on staff as a neonatologist. After recently suffering a miscarriage, the cancer was triggered by the cells left behind after the abnormal embryo was removed. She began chemotherapy soon after and updating her fans via Twitter. In her most recent tweet, she removed her wig, revealing her struggle with losing her hair.
The couple’s battle with infertility has been well-documented on their show. They also have a three year-old son, Will, who they adopted from China last March.
