As people all across the US were enduring dangerously frigid temperatures, Disney’s megahit Frozen came back to reclaim the top spot at the box office. Surprisingly still hot after seven weeks, Frozen chilled newcomer Paranormal Activity at the box office after vacating the number one spot for a month. Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones brought in an estimated $18.2M, which was a sharp decline from the release of the last movie in the franchise.

Frozen’s reigning performance is a rarity, and it is especially rare for a picture in its sixth week of wide release to make an estimated $20.7 million; only Avatar and Titanic have performed greater in the sixth week of their individual releases. Frozen’s remarkable feat this weekend marks just a few of the many notable feats it has achieved.

Frozen is on track to earn more than $300 million dollars in North America. It has been reported that the movie is only $3 million shy from achieving that milestone. Only three movies achieved this breakthrough in 2013, namely Despicable Me 2, Iron Man 3 and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Frozen is expected to be the fourth film to cross that mark and should do so within days.
