Tulsa, Oklahoma – Isaac Hanson, one of the three members of the late 90s boy band “Hanson”, is celebrating the birth of his first baby daughter, Nina Odette. His wife Nikki delivered a healthy little girl with ten fingers, ten toes, two eyes and two ears weighing 7 lbs 15 oz. For the couple, Nina represents their first baby in five years. They have sons Clark Everett and James Monroe, ages 6 and 5 respectively.
The Hanson brothers have been busy building families of their own in the years since their heyday as teen idols ended. Along with 33-year-old Isaac’s three children, 31-year-old Taylor has five of his own, and 28-year-old Zac has three. That makes for a total of 11 children between the young men. You’d think they were traditional Catholics or Mormons with those birth rates.
The groups first big hit came in 1997 with the bubblegum hit “MMMBop” and their trademark long stringy brown hair. Since that time they’ve sold 16 million records and several other hit songs. Despite the days of their biggest commercial success behind them, they operate their own recording label called 3CG Records. They have recently produced studio album number 8 and will be heading off to a world tour later this year. The latest album called “Anthem” actually fell just shy of making Billboard Magazine’s top 20, which is what technically defines an album as being a hit. “Anthem” peaked at number 22.
Isaac has had his share of health scares with a 2003 bout of thoracic outlet syndrome which led to his being hospitalized. The painful wrenching of nerves of the scalene muscles comes from excessive & repetitive guitar playing. Four years later, he was again hospitalized with a pulmonary embolism which is an occlusion of the chief artery to the lungs.
