Tina Fey has come a long way since beginning her comedy career as a member of the “Second City Improv” group in Chicago before finding her fortune in the Big Apple as a one of the writers for the long-running “Saturday Night Live” franchise. Fey’s worth today is estimated to be around $45 million, making her one of the richest celebrities in the world of entertainment.
Fey didn’t stay in the background for long with “Saturday Night Live”, soon adding a weekly appearance as co-host of the “Weekly Update” segment to her duties as chief writer for the popular hit show. And Fey added to her multi-million dollar worth since leaving her native Pennsylvania by taking on as many different creative hats as possible rather than limiting her talents to simply writing or stand up comedy. Today Fey earns her multi-million salary as a writer, actor, producer, voice actor, screenwriter, comedian and musician.
Her reported weekly salary from her “30 Rock” television series which ended last year was $500,000. In recent years she has added about $13 million to her bank account from revenue from her book sales as well as her executive producer duties for the popular “30 Rock” series which also starred Alec Baldwin. Fey’s fortune has also enabled her to purchase an apartment in Manhattan’s Upper West Side for the princely sum of $3.4 million, which she shares with spouse Jeff Richmond and their two children, daughters Alice and Penelope.
