It was a matter of British royalty exploring American music royalty history when Prince William and brother Prince Harry recently joined their cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, to take a tour of the famous Graceland estate in Nashville. The royal quartet has flown to Tennessee to attend the wedding ceremony for Lizzy Wilson, who is heir to the Holiday Inn fortune, and Guy Pelly, and decided to take in some tourist sights while on American soil. Princes William and Harry were even observed to get into the spirit of things by wearing sunglasses typical of those worn by Elvis. Princess Beatrice’s boyfriend, Dave Clark, joined the group as they wandered around the almost 14-acre grounds which houses the famous mansion where Presley died of a drug overdose in 1977.

Both of the princes were comfortably dressed for the occasion in casual clothing that included t-shirts and jeans, while their cousins each sported a casual shirt and skirt to be comfortable for their Graceland tour. The royal cousins were in for three days of formal celebrating for the Wilson-Pelly nuptials, beginning with cocktails on Friday hosted at the posh Memphis Hunt and Polo Club which is located very near to Wilson’s home.

The wedding ceremony for the bride and groom, who is a close friend of the royals, took place on Saturday, followed by a formal reception in which everyone was expected to dress to the nines while partying into the wee hours of the morning. Then it was back to the Memphis Hunt and Polo Club for a lavish Sunday brunch to conclude the three-day affair. There were plenty of royal watchers in Memphis who lined the streets outside the Rendezvous restaurant, a popular BBQ spot, when word spread that the royals were inside enjoying a family get-together.
