“Jesus, Take the Wheel” was the last we heard of Carrie Underwood, and even though it won a Grammy and was on the top of the charts for 6 weeks, the double platinum song happened 9 years ago. Fresh out of American idol and Nashville’s toast, Underwood had merely started her career in those days. Now, she has been in the list of Forbes’ most earning idols and a few days ago, released another song which is all set to be a huge hit.
Carrie Underwood has always been guided by her faith, as is evident from her music, and her latest number is no different. The song has been written by Chris DeStefano, Brett James and Underwood herself, and would be a part of her new album. RollingStone.com reported Carrie Underwood saying, “[…] joyous, uplifting song about changing your life for the better and waking up and having that a-ha moment and your life being different from that moment forward.” The song talks about turning towards God when the times are difficult, as “Jesus, Take the Wheel” did.
Carrie Underwood talks about her life changing completely when she turned towards God, also showcasing her ability to hit the high notes perfectly and effortlessly. In a perfect homage to her career, that has spanned over a decade, the new album will cover everything to display the wide array of hits the singer has given to the world. Fans would be happy to know that her eighteen singles that have reached Number One would also feature.
Currently, Underwood is expecting her first child and people will not be hearing from her for the rest of the year. However, she was seen performing for charitable reasons only last week with the likes of Sting, No Doubt, Beyoncé and many other big names at Central Park in New York.
