In case you didn’t notice, last night’s “Tonight Show” was a rerun, and for those hoping for a brand-new episode filled with lip-sync battles or another installment of “Ew!” this evening, well, once again, you’re out of luck. An official post on Twitter yesterday stated that host Jimmy Fallon would be taking a two-night break due to “unexpected but delightful circumstances.”

Due to unexpected but delightful circumstances, there will not be new episodes tonight or Thursday evening. http://t.co/21Ez3dm6M9

The tweet also included a link to an Associated Press news story, which announced that Fallon and his wife, Nancy Juvonen, had become parents for the second time to a baby girl named Frances Cole Fallon. Like her older sister, Winnie Rose, 1, Frances was born via surrogate.

While Fallon is off taking some family time right now, there was no way he could do so without acknowledging his beloved fans, so he made sure to tweet this pithy “Thank You Note” (sorry, no James Poyser musical accompaniment):

Franny sends her thanks.
