Remember the girl group TLC?

Well they’re back (kinda) and they want your money to help produce their “final” almbum.

The remaining band members have announced plans to record their fifth and final album, and they’re seeking funding via Kickstarter, Billboard reports.

Contributors could receive TLC’s music video outfits, an exercise class with Chilli, slumber parties, movie dates, phone calls, outgoing voicemail messages, your name in the liner notes, and a whole lot more.

In an interview with Billboard, Chilli said that she and T-Boz are currently putting the album’s creative team together. She also emphasized that they chose to go the Kickstarter route with their new album to “have complete creative control. The only people we’ll be talking to and asking their opinion is the fans.”

On their Kickstarter page, the band wrote:

We owe so much of our success to you. Your loyalty and support throughout the past 20 years motivates us to do our best work. Without you, we wouldn’t have ten top 10 singles and four number 1 singles. We wouldn’t have won five Grammy awards or sold 65 million records worldwide. Without you, we wouldn’t have become the most successful girl group of all time! Without you there would be no TLC!!

Adding:

Our final album will stay true to the TLC sound, always confronting the real issues and life experiences that we all must face every single day, everywhere. We write music that people relate to…timeless music. No matter the trends, we feel like our music is always relevant.

The group also acknowledged that this will be the first Album the group has created as just a duo.

This final album will be the first studio album by the two of us. Of course, Lisa’s spirit will always be present in our music. That will never change.

"This was the beginning of just the two of us because Lisa had passed away. This was the first of many shoots that we did at that time."

“This was the beginning of just the two of us because Lisa had passed away. This was the first of many shoots that we did at that time.”

When asked if the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes’ voice will be featured on the new album, Chilli said “probably not, but I’m not going to say ‘no’ because we’re open to it.” Read the entire interview here, and watch the Kickstarter video below.
