Hilary Duff Opens Up About Divorce

Former teen pop star and actress Hilary Duff has recently graced the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine, and in addition she opened up in an interview regarding her recent divorce.

“I don’t think that people are meant to be together forever,” she told Cosmopolitan. Duff went on to explain that she felt it was only natural for her to marry at a younger age, as she had become an actress when she was still a pre-teen.

Duff said that she isn’t bitter about her split from her hubby, former NHL star Mike Comrie. According to the former ‘Lizzie McGuire’ actress, “a great deal of love was involved in our relationship, but we each evolved and it was no longer enough to keep us together.”

Duff and Comrie were married in 2010. The actress gave birth to a son, Luca Comrie, in 2012. The couple separated in 2014, citing irreconcilable differences. The pair continued to co-parent Luca. It was confirmed that Duff filed for a divorce in January 2015 and will sought to gain full custody of the couple’s son.

Hilary Duff spent much of her early career starring in children’s based television and movie roles. She will appear in the film “Flock of Dudes” as Amanda Benson later this year. She also holds the main role in the upcoming television series, “Younger.”
