According to People, Swift’s beloved cat left the “Blank Space” singer, 25, with a giant scratch on her leg on Saturday, March 14.
“GREAT WORK MEREDITH I WAS JUST TRYING TO LOVE YOU AND NOW YOU OWE ME 40 MILLION DOLLARS,” Swift jokingly captioned the Instagram photo of the massive cut on her leg. This jab comes after false reports that Swift’s gams are insured for $40 million.
Swift later covered her wound with a bandage that read “meOW.”
“Couldn’t help but make it into a pun, could I…” she captioned a shot of the clever Band Aid.
Earlier this week, a source told the Daily News that “her $200 million career would be in big trouble” if something happened to her long stems.
“She thought her legs were possibly worth a million,” the source added. “But $40 million shocked her. She’s even a little embarrassed about it.”
The real Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) took to twitter to comment on Swift’s injury.
“@TaylorSwift this is awkward because my namesake did this but as your doctor, please keep that scratch clean!” she commented on Instagram. “Yours truly the real Dr. Grey.”
Swift isn’t the fist celeb to have her sexy legs insured.
According to Vitrebels, Tina Turner’s legs are worth over 3.2 million.
The site adds:
“There was a rumor a while back that her legs were intentionally burned to collect the money, but of course that wasn’t true Soccer star David Beckham’s legs are valued at over 70 million. The celebrity with the highest valued legs is Mariah Carey. Her famous legs are insured for a value of 1 billion dollars.”
Supermodel Heidi Klum took out a $2.2 million dollar policy on her long limbs. According to Modernghana, the left leg is insured for $200,000 less because she has a small scar on her left knee. Those adjusters are thorough!
Rihanna reportedly has her legs insured for $1-million as well.
