A rep for Minnelli tells TMZ, the legendary singer and actress is making “excellent progress” in the treatment center.
Her rep says the 69-year-old actress been in the facility for several days, and her main issue is alcohol.
“Liza Minnelli has valiantly battled substance abuse over the years and whenever she has needed to seek treatment she has done so,” said spokesman Scott Gorenstein. “She is currently making excellent progress at an undisclosed facility.”
Minnelli has been in rehab multiple times … most recently in 2004.
As the rep put it, “Liza has valiantly battled substance abuse over the years.” Of course, her mother Judy Garland also battled addiction most of her life, and ultimately OD’d in 1969.
Minnelli was offered half a million back in 2010 to do the reality show “Celebrity Rehab.” She passed on the offer.
Minnelli is the daughter of Hollywood legend Judy Garland, who died of an overdose in 1969.
Minnelli won an Oscar in 1973 for her performance in “Cabaret.”
