Michelle Rodriguez: “I Went Pretty Crazy,” on a “Binge” After Paul Walker’s Death

Michelle Rodriguez Goes Crazy With Grief Over Paul Walker’s Death

When Paul Walker died in a freak car crash, it sent Michelle Rodriguez into a binge. In a recent interview withEntertainment Weekly , Rodriguez admits she went a bit crazy and did things she never would have normally done. The loss of Walker caused her to unravel.

Rodriguez was in the headlines in the past year with what has been described as, ‘wild child’ behavior. She explains this as her way of trying to cope with the loss of her co-star on “Fast & Furious”. She reports that her behavior was an attempt to make her feel alive and not actions she would have done had her mind been right.

Incidents Rodriguez refers to are when she photographed groping Cara Delevingne while intoxicated and her having a fling with Zac Efron. She felt there was nothing she could do to make her feel alive and was just continuously pushing herself harder and harder. She traveled and had sex trying to ignore her feelings and striving to feel alive.

“I could see Paul once every two years and just know there was another human on the planet who’s deep like me, who loves like that. When that disappears, you wonder, ‘Wait a minute, what do I hold on to?’ There was nothing to tether me to this existence. I just woke up (one morning) with a profound respect for living. I stood tall one day and I said, ‘You know what, Michelle? Stop hiding. Go manifest.’ And all of a sudden, I picked myself up and started hustling,” she said.

She admits that she is now just starting to heal from the loss of Paul. Pulling herself out of the grieving phase and trying to get on with her life. She told Entertainment Weekly that she is going to pick herself up and start hustling.
