Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 reviews

TORONTO – The reviews are in and the critics agree Paul Blart Mll Cop 2 is awful. The second film featuring Kevin James as a mall security guard is so bad it’s currently sitting at 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

After six years of keeping our malls safe, Paul Blart has earned a well-deserved vacation. He heads to Vegas with his teenage daughter before she heads off to college. But safety never takes a holiday and when duty calls, Blart answers. (C) Sony

So what did the critics have to say? Check out these Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 reviews:

The Wrap – A movie whose chuckles (six, I counted) are outnumbered by helicopter shots of the Wynn resort in Las Vegas.

The Star
– Caddyshack 2. Exorcist 2. Speed 2. To this small sample of the ever-expanding list of wretched movie sequels, add Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, a gobsmackingly witless excuse for entertainment.

Crave Online – A sequel has a responsibility to cultivate its garden. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 never gets further than the fertilizer.

Movies.Com – Kevin James and Nick Bakay are credited as screenwriters, but that’s only because “Taking Naps” and “I Went Out To Get A Sandwich” are not Writer’s Guild credits yet.

National Post – The plot is full of gaps in logic, motivation, physics and chemistry. Characters show up and vanish again as randomly as the targets in a game of Whac-a-Mole.

IGN – The proceedings are at their best when focusing on Blart’s relationship with his daughter, but sadly that human element is forced to take a backseat to Blart’s stopping a heist.
