Hardy initially kept his habits hidden because he didn’t want anyone to know he’d got out of control but the actor said he was lucky he didn’t wind up with AIDs, reports The Daily Mail.

The actor, son of writer Edward Hardy and artist mother Anne, checked himself into rehab that year after finding himself in pool of blood and vomit in London’s Soho after a heavy night.
