Jared Fogle in Hot Water
Everyone knows the subway weight loss guy, Jared, who lost a massive amount of weight about fifteen years ago and subsequently became the spokesperson for Subway sandwiches and their message that eating their food leads to weight loss. Since that time, he has enjoyed a great career and has been seen in a very positive light from the general public, that is until recently, as he has been investigated by the FBI for making sexual remarks about young girls, specifically in the middle school range.
“He said something to me when we were off-camera and that really stuck with me. I thought to myself, ‘did he really say that to me?'” she told WWSB, adding that the comments led her to contact the FBI. “The subject matter is similar to what the FBI found when they raided his home. It goes deeper than that.”

This whole thing started more than ten years ago, when Jared had made comments to a woman about her two daughters who were in middle school at the time and referred to them as “hot”. She has stated to the public media that she was absolutely shocked by the statements and this led her to contact the police department, who put a wire on her and had her call Jared to try to build a case of evidence against him. The tapes that were recorded seemed to play out very similarly to what the woman had reported that he was saying about a dozen years ago and it appears that he is in a massive amount of hot water.
Jared Fogel’s lawyers have stated to the media that the statements and accusations are false and that the case lacks credibility, but we will simply have to sit back and see how the case plays out. If one thing is certain, it is that he is not going to be looked at favorably with the public and there is no way that he is going to be the face of Subway anymore, as that would be a complete disaster for the restaurant chain, even if it came to light that the statements were in fact incorrect.
