James Franco The High School Teacher?

Actor James Franco will be teaching eight-part film course to high school students. The 37-year-old actor, took to Instagram to announce about his special session and encouraged the students to enrol for it, said The Hollywood Reporter.

The “127 Hours” actor posted a selfie along with the caption, “PALO ALTO HIGH SCHOOL – I will be teaching an 8 part film class for HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. Sign up NOW!”

Under the course, twenty-four high school students in grades 9-12 will learn to produce a film that will be shown at a film festival.

Students must apply online by Sept. 10 with a 200-word essay stating why they would be a good fit for the workshop and a one-minute video (created on their cell phones) introducing themselves.

Franco is no stranger to teaching film. He previously taught at NYU and most recently at USC.

Meanwhile, newly-engaged couple Alison Brie and James’ little brother Dave Franco got a very special congratulations.

James who has been known to publicly prank his little bro, offered nothing but sweet congratulations to him on this happy day.

Dave may be 30, but he’s never too old for some baby talk from his big brother, apparently.

(And James may want to learn how to spell his sister-in-law-to-be’s name before she officially joins the Franco clan.)
