Amy Duggar wore a princess ball gown at her wedding and was joined by several of her family members and former 19 Kids and Counting co-stars, including her famous aunt and uncle Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, many of their kids and their daughter-in-law Anna Duggar, who arrived without husband Josh Duggar.
Us describes the day:
The latest Duggar to tie the knot, 28, wore a cleavage-bearing strapless, A-line gown by Essence of Australia to say her “I dos” to King, 28, whom she’s been dating since November 2014. The bride accessorized the ivory garment with a taupe sash and a long, cathedral-length veil. The getup was certainly a change from Jill’s modest lacy number (worn at her nuptials to Derick Dillard) and Jessa’s beaded, short-sleeve gown (worn at her Nov. 1, 2014 wedding to Ben Seewald).
“I loved how modern it was, and I love the train,” she told Us. “I love everything about it. I would wear it to the grocery store and the gas station. I might bowl it it. Go-karts… I’ll find a way to wear it all the time.”
Apparently the Duggar’s didn’t dig the shindig.
“They left right when the music was starting,” Amy tells PEOPLE of ultra-religious former 19 Kids and Counting stars Jim Bob, Michelle and their brood, including daughters Jill and Jessa. “They stayed for two songs or so. It was country so they probably dealt with it.”
But after the 19 Kids and counting clan left, “The lights went down, the disco lights came up. Everybody kicked off their shoes,” says Amy. “It went from classy to trashy real quick, which was the best!”
As the party got going, “Everyone was having the time of their lives,” she continues. “We broke out the bar as soon as my family left. The champagne was chilled, we had whiskey, mixed drinks, everything. It was so fun.”
Her cousins weren’t the only ones to cut out early.
“I left at about 10 o’clock,” says the mother of the bride and Jim Bob’s sister Deanna Duggar-Jordan. “When the rap music started, I decided it was about time to go. But they were all having a good time.”
As for her brother and his family leaving, Deanna says, “I totally understand that.”
The party went on into the wee hours of the morning.
“It was just a really good celebration,” says Amy, who at the end of the night left on back of Dillon’s Ducati motorcycle. While she jokes that her guests “were probably hurting the morning after,” she and Dylan were on cloud nine.
Says Amy, “He was staring at his ring all morning. We’re just so in love.”
