Miranda Lambert Taylor Swift Hit the stage
Taylor Swift brought country superstar Miranda Lambert onstage at her Greensboro, North Carolina, concert Wednesday night to throw it back to her country roots and perform Lambert’s CMA Award-nominated hit.
Swift, 25, did her usual strut around the stage in an all-black leather outfit, while the newly inducted Music City Walk of Famer wore one of Swift’s concert tees with black jeans and boots. Swift captioned a black-and-white photo of the pair with a lyric from “Little Red Wagon,” writing, “And you’re just trying to slow this rolling stone but I’m onto you babe….”
The Style singer also posted two videos of the performance to her record-breaking Instagram account, captioning one, “YOU CAN’T RIDE IN MY LITTLE RED WAGON” and the other simply, “Oooooh Ahhhhhhh.”
Lambert’s performance is yet another in a (very) long line of 1989 World Tour special guests, and will be one of the last surprise appearances as Swift prepares to wrap up the American leg of her tour at the end of October in Florida. She’ll travel through Asia and Australia through December, and then?
“I think I should take some time off,” Swift recently told NME magazine. “I think people might need a break from me. I’m going to … I don’t know. Hang out with my friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don’t know.”
