Mark Zuckerberg and daughter bring the “awwwwwwsss” in new photo
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is getting in solid paternity-leave time.
Zuckerberg posted an adorable photo of himself bonding with his newborn daughter, Max, on Facebook on Tuesday, Dec. 8.
“Full of joy with little Max,” the first-time dad captioned a snap of himself lying on the floor with his little one.
“This is a very personal decision, and I’ve decided to take 2 months of paternity leave when our daughter arrives,” the CEO, 31, shared with followers on Nov. 20 prior to welcoming Max with wifePriscilla Chan. “Studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, outcomes are better for the children and families. At Facebook we offer our US employees up to 4 months of paid maternity or paternity leave which they can take throughout the year. Every day things are getting a little more real for us, and we’re excited to start this next stage in our lives.”
The tech guru and his wife announced their daughter’s birth on Facebook on Dec. 1. In their post, the couple revealed the launch of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and shared that they plan on donating 99 percent of their Facebook shares — worth about $45 billion — during their lives to improve the world for the next generation.
Zuckerberg and Chan, 30, wed in 2012 after nine years of dating.
