Bret “Hitman” Hart Announces That He Has Prostate Cancer in a Facebook Post
WWE Hall of Fame recipient Bret “Hitman” Hart announced on Monday, February 1, 2016 that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. In a Facebook post, the wrestler spoke of many health issues he has had over the years, including knee, wrist, and elbow surgeries, as well as two hernia operations.
Hart also suffered from a stroke in 2002 that he overcame against all odds.
In the post, Hart promised his friends, family, and fans that he would put up a courageous fight against the horrible disease that has taken so many lives over the years. He stated that he knew the fight would be difficult and long lasting, but that he got his strength from those who have always supported him throughout the years.
Hart pledges to be an advocated for educating people about the disease and will never give up his fight to overcome it. He stated that he will fight as hard as he possibly can, until he overcomes it or it takes his life.
Hart pledged his unending love for his family, friends, and fans in his post. He believes that the love and support he receives and has received will help him get through the roughest moments during his battle.
