Arcade Fire’s Win Butler took home MVP at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game last night, winning major points for the winning team, Canada
However things took a weird turn when he started to use his platform as a modest political stage to celebrate Canada’s health-care policies (Butler is from the U.S., but he was feeling the team spirit apparently),
Sage Steele could be sued for pushing Win Butler off his soapbox that violently. Tremendous. pic.twitter.com/fSj3Mnbauz

ESPN’s Sage Steele was having none of it and eventually said: “So we’re talking about celebrity stuff, not politics.”
Whether or not the timing for the lecture was right, ESPN was clearly focussing on making the event all about basketball rather thank spark up a political debate.
